During the summer months Barmouth is one of the busiest seaside towns in Snowdonia. It has a popular beach with soft sand and a long promenade walk. The main attraction in Barmouth is the harbour where sea fishing trips are available. Barmouth offers speciality shopping. Parking can be difficult at peak times. Barmouth's old town has steep steps and slate-roofed cottages on the side of a mountain.
