Attractions Chester Castle, Chester, Cheshire. Castle built in 1070. Parts of the 12th century inner bailey Agricola Tower and Castle Walls houses a chapel with exceptionally fine wall paintings of c. 1220, rediscovered in the 1980s. English Heritage. About 6 miles east of Hawarden.
