Most of them were collected by the pharmacist Sir Henry Wellcome. This splendid building was named after Swansea's most famous poet, and has a permanent exhibition on Dylan Thomas and his life, as well as a shop stuffed with books, posters and memorabilia. Attractions The National Wetland Centre Wales. Located on the Ramsar site of the Burry Inlet, WWT's innovative centre at Llanelli is at the frontend of wetland conservation in Wales. Travellers will be impressed by the rugged beauty, tranquil villages and picturesque Victorian spa towns along the 121 miles between Swansea and Shrewsbury.
