County Durham, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, and Tees Valley.

coastline designated as Heritage Coast. The highest point in
the region is The Cheviot, in Northumberland, at 815m. The breathtaking
countryside features many ancient monuments and vibrant towns

including Bamburgh, Raby, Dunstanburgh, Tynemouth, Lindisfarne
